MGC Raglan — Dynamic Generator Optimizer Simulator

Tick-based simulation with 2-second steps, smooth start/stop transitions, common alpha redistribution for base-load units, and a compact live layout where demand slider + graph + generator cards stay visible together.

Machine & model parameters

Simulation default startup time set to 30 seconds. Ramp-down rule: 5 percentage points per 2-second tick for stopping units.

Control logic highlights

3 jobs 3 EMD backbone minimum 4th EMD is candidate, not default EMD + MAN = isochronous pool Base-load uses Pmin→Popt alpha Spinning reserve target > 3 MW OPEX weighted

Job 1 — Respond to demand

Ensure site demand is covered at each 2-second tick.

Job 2 — Redistribute & balance

Move isochronous and base-load pools smoothly toward the target dispatch.

Job 3 — Optimize configuration

Pick the best candidate configuration while minimizing start/stop and respecting OPEX.
